Lanfranchi appointed as General Manager of InterContinental Abu Soma Resort Red Sea

Giorgio Lanfranchi has been appointed General Manager of the InterContinental Abu Soma Resort Red Sea, which becomes Egypts sixth InterContinental hotel when it opens in the fourth quarter of 2003.

Lanfranchi has already arrived to oversee the projects final months of development after working for leading hotel chains in Italy, London, India, Manila, Oman and India.

Backed by 32 years of experience in the hospitality industry, he takes charge of a resort offering 453 guest rooms and suites, including two royal suites, three deluxe suites, 19 executive suites and 26 junior suites.

The InterContinental Abu Soma Resort Red Sea has a prime waterfront location between Safaga and Hurghada, with magnificent sea views and the distant Sinai Mountains as a backdrop. Modern open design characterises the new property.
