Dragonair announces agreement with SR Technics Switzerland for Fleet Technical Management

Travel News Asia 13 March 2003

Dragonair today announced that it has signed an agreement with SR Technics Switzerland for Fleet Technical Management of the airline's A320 family of aircraft.

Under the three-year agreement, SR Technics will provide technical management services through a dedicated team based in Hong Kong, and integrated with Dragonair's operations. This covers all aspects of  engineering and maintenance, including maintenance planning, reliability monitoring, maintenance support and engineering services.

The contract became effective on March 1.

In February, Dragonair concluded a five-year agreement on A320 family Inventory Total Management with SR Technics, providing for repair  management, inventory operation and logistics support, and total asset management services.

"We're pleased to have access to the Fleet Technical Management and Inventory Total Management services of SR Technics," said Dragonair CEO Stanley Hui. "The company has an excellent reputation, and will provide us  with invaluable expertise."

Dragonair currently operates a total of 12 passenger A320 family aircraft: four A321 and eight A320s. It is scheduled to take delivery of two new A321s in the summer of this year.

"In launching our partnership with Dragonair in this innovative way, we are creating a new service product that will allow us to feed our expertise and experience straight into our customer's operations," said Hans Ulrich Beyeler, CEO of SR Technics Switzerland.
