InterContinental Hotels Group's Priority Club Rewards Doubles The Rewards

Travel News Asia 11 September 2003

Priority Club® Rewards, the InterContinental Hotels Group's loyalty programme, is doubling the rewards for members this season. The Full Folio and Multi-Brand Promotions will benefit both frequent business travellers as well as leisure travellers who stay at any of the participating hotels in the InterContinental Hotels Group.

"There is no better time to travel. These promotions provide more ways for members to earn points and qualify for benefits. We are giving our members the best of both worlds - attractive, sought-after rewards and a simple, hassle-free system,'' said Priority Club® Rewards' Director of Loyalty Marketing in Asia Pacific, Ms Julia Wong.

To mark the official launch of the Full Folio earnings programme, Priority Club® Rewards is running a special Full Folio Promotion from now until October 31, 2003, which automatically entitles members to earn double points on almost everything that is charged to the room during his first qualifying stay at a participating hotel. There is no registration and paperwork to fill out. For each US$100 spent per day, a member will automatically be credited with 2,000, instead of 1,000 points. In addition to the room rate, members will be awarded points for other services that are charged to the room. These include food and beverage orders, room service, laundry service and in-room movies. Full Folio earnings, however, do not apply when a member stays at  InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, where points are awarded on a per stay basis. The promotion is also not applicable to mileage earners.

The Multi-Brand Promotion runs from now until December 12, 2003. During this period, depending on their earning preference, Priority Club® Rewards members will earn double rewards points or double miles with their selected frequent flyer programme on qualifying room rates for the second and subsequent stays. There is no cap on the number of points a member can accumulate during the promotional period. Points can be redeemed instantly for hotel stays or other benefits and there are no blackout dates for Rewards Nights. The flexible system even allows members to transfer points between accounts.

Added Ms Wong, "Our Priority Club® Rewards programme offers more benefits than any other programme in the world. We have more participating hotels, more quality partners and more flexible reward options. And with the Full Folio and Multi-Brand Promotions, members will be able to reap even greater benefits in a shorter time.''
