The St. Regis Shanghai launches St. Regis Community Service Campaign

The St. Regis Shanghai recently initiated its first annual St. Regis Community Service Campaign to help improve the overall well-being of the community.

The St. Regis Community Service Campaign will be held annually, with various activities organized, mostly during September and October, as well as other seasonal events. Through partnership with various local organizations, the hotel hopes to encourage guests and staff to become involved in helping the community, and assisting in the landscaping, cleanliness, health, education and overall welfare of the residents of the community.

"While we are an international hotel management company, we feel it is vital that we maintain a strong relationship with our local community and do our best to help them in different ways, it is one of our many ways to thank them for their support " says Charles Abbott, General Manager of The St. Regis Shanghai.

In the coming months, The St. Regis Shanghai is putting up with a range of fund raising activities, including :

- Community Clean Up Day: hotel associates will go around the neighborhood and clean up, so as to keep the environs spotless and tidy!

- Recipe for Success: St. Regis management team will share their tips on success with graduating students of the local schools

- Fun Vertical Marathon: Run up the hotel's 40 stories to raise funds for local charities. This activity is also in time with the annual "Chong Yang" festival of China, to promote health through various climbing activities.

- Blood Donation Drive: hotel associates will play their part by contributing blood towards needy hospitals

- Charity Golf Cup with the best putt and longest drive prizes. Golfers' participation fees will be contributed towards charity

- Education scholarship for needy students
