Marriott to manage third Courtyard Hotel in Australia

Marriott International has been named to manage a new 196-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel in North Ryde, in suburban Sydney, under an agreement with Ryde Hotel Pty., Ltd.

When opened in mid-2004, it will be the third Courtyard-branded hotel and eighth Marriott International property in Australia. Courtyard is Marriott's mid-priced hotel brand that is aimed at business and leisure travelers who need consistent, high quality accommodations and services at moderate, affordable prices.

North Ryde is located approximately 10 kilometers northwest of Sydney's central business district and is a major commercial office hub with many high tech and blue chip companies such as Amgen, Astra Zeneca, Fuji Xerox, Honeywell, Microsoft, Novartis and Beiersdorf. The new Courtyard will be located at the corner of Lane Cove Road and Talavera  Road in the immediate vicinity of North Ryde's core office developments. Macquarie Mall, the largest mall in the area, and Macquarie University are located nearby.

Services and amenities offered by Courtyard hotels typically vary from country to country, but are appropriate to the needs of guests in the host country. All hotels feature superior quality guestrooms that are usually larger than rooms offered by other hotels in its segment. Public space at all  Courtyard hotels feature casual ambience that is designed to make guests feel comfortable and welcomed.

For dining and entertainment, the Courtyard by Marriott North Ryde will have a restaurant and bar that will serve breakfast each morning and light snacks for the rest of the day. Recreational amenities will include an exercise room.

For social events and small conferences, the hotel will have 126 square meters of space including a boardroom and a 96-square meter conference room that is divisible into two adjacent, equally-sized rooms.

Other amenities include a business lounge in the lobby, a self-service laundry, a sundry shop, parking and in-room refrigerators.
