Flights to 'Ice City' of Harbin to begin December 20, 2003

Travel News Asia 11 December 2003

Dragonair's winter service to the northeastern Chinese city of Harbin will commence on December 20.

All the flights, which will operate every Saturday until February 14 next year, have been chartered by five Hong Kong travel agents for package tours.

"The success of last year's Harbin service, which operated on alternate Saturdays, has resulted in a weekly service being introduced this year," explained Andy Tung, General Manager, Marketing & Sales. "The city is popular for the range of winter attractions it offers, including the world-famous Ice-Snow Festival with its International Ice Sculpture Competition."

Travellers interested in more information should contact any one of the five agents offering Harbin packages: China Travel Services (Hong Kong) (tel: 2998-7333); Hong Thai (tel: 2108-8888); Package Tour (tel: 3443-0707); Sunflower (tel: 2732-2888); or Wing On Travel (tel: 2928-8882).
