DTCM receives positive response at FESPO 2003

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing's (DTCM) stand, entertained a large amount of positive queries from enormous number of serious visitors at the Holidays, Sports and Leisure exhibition called FESPO 2003, which was held in Zurich Switzerland.

DTCM Executive Overseas Promotions, Khalifa Buamaim said that event, which had 650 exhibitors aimed at dissemination of information and exchange of ideas on varied matters including holidays, sports and leisure. "We received about 75,000 serious visitors, who were impressed with Dubai's sports and leisure facilities and felt charmed with the emirate's scenic beauty. Our top class sporting facilities make it ideal destination for those visitors who look for an action packed holiday," said Mr. Buamaim.

Appreciating the work of DTCM's Zurich office, Mr. Buamaim said: "In past twelve months our representative office in Zurich has worked hard in achieving a major break through in building interest in Dubai among travel agents and consumers".

Mr. Buamiam stated that Dubai also hold large of international events: "Dubai Tennis Open, Dubai, Desert Classic, Dubai World Cup, UNI Class One Offshore Power Boat Racing are just few examples of our wide range of sport events, which we host in Dubai".
