Airbus Reports Increase in Commercial Aircraft
Deliveries in June
|
Airbus delivered 36 commercial aircraft in June
2020, an increase on the 24 delivered in May and 14 in April.
The 36 aircraft comprised of one A220-300 to Air
Canada and 31 A320neo Family aircraft including the first A320neo
to China Express and first A321neo to VivaAerobús. Four A350-900s
were delivered, two to Iberia, and one each to Air France and SAS.
In total, Airbus has delivered 196 deliveries in
H1 2020 - 11 A220s, 157 A320 Family, 5 A330s and 23 A350s.
In terms of orders, Airbus booked a total of 298
net commercial aircraft orders in H1 2020. This compares to 389
aircraft in H1 2019.
Airbus’ 2020 gross orders by June 30th totalled
365 aircraft with net orders before cancellations of 298 aircraft.
The company registered no new orders in June 2020.
Airbus’ backlog of aircraft remaining to be
delivered as of 30 June was 7,584, comprising 526 A220s, 6,168
A320 Family aircraft (including 6,108 A320neo Family), 321 A330s
(including 286 A330neo family), 560 A350 XWBs and nine A380s.
