What Does TAT Have Planned for Thailand Travel Mart (TTM+) 2020? Exclusive
Interview with Chiravadee Khunsub
In 2019, the Thailand Tourism Mart (TTM+) was held
at the
Ocean Marina Yacht Club in Jomtien, Pattaya, and was hailed by
all who attended as a tremendous success.
The 338 buyers from 51 countries were happy with
the variety of sellers available, the 370 sellers were more than
pleased with the quality of buyers brought in from overseas, and
the 84 international media from 26 countries covering the event
were spoiled with spa treatments, good coffee and some delicious
ice cream in the media centre!
The TTM+ has, in recent years, evolved into a
must-attend event for anyone who sells Thailand, simply because it
is the only place that travel trade buyers from around the world can meet with so many
sellers from so many different parts of Thailand under one roof.
If you add in the pre- and post-mart tours,
then it really is the ideal opportunity to make new business
contacts and get a better understanding of the current trends
within the Thai tourism industry.
So, where will TTM+ 2020
take place?
That is just one of the many questions that
Steven Howard of TravelNewsAsia.com asks Chiravadee Khunsub,
Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand - UK, Ireland and
South Africa, in this exclusive HD video interview.
Filmed at TAT's office in London on 8
January 2020, Khun Chiravadee tells us when and where TTM+ 2020
will take place, why that city was chosen, what the theme will be
this year, and how many buyers and sellers are expected to attend.
Khun Chiravadee tells us how many buyers from the UK will be going
and how those buyers will be chosen.
You will learn how TAT helps the emerging
destinations in Thailand, such as the different provinces of
Isaan, as well as the small hotels around the country, attend the
event.
We also discuss how technology will be used
to enhance the event, how, like last year, TAT plans to reduce the
TTM+'s environmental footprint, and much, much more.
