Air Canada Suspends All Flights to Beijing and
Following the Government of Canada's Advisory to
avoid non-essential travel to mainland China, Air Canada has
temporarily suspended all direct flights to Beijing and Shanghai
effective until 29 February 2020.
The airline normally operates direct flights to
Beijing and Shanghai from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
Air Canada's last flights departing China will
operate from Beijing and Shanghai today, 30 January 2020.
Customers affected by the suspension of flights
will be offered options, including travel on other carriers where
available, or a full refund.
Air Canada has said that it will monitor this
evolving situation closely in consultation with the Public Health
Agency of Canada, Transport Canada and Global Affairs and will
adjust its schedule as appropriate.
