United Airlines Cuts International Flights by
85%
|
United Airlines has announced that due to the continued drop
in travel demand as a result of the COVID19 outbreak and government
mandates or restrictions in place prohibiting travel, the airline
has cut its U.S. and Canada schedule in April by 42% and its
international flights by 85%.
Across the Atlantic, Pacific and Latin America,
United will only operate approximately 45 daily flights in April
as per the picture shown (click to enlarge).
Domestically, United Airlines has said that it does not plan to suspend service to any
single U.S. city now - with the exception of Mammoth Lakes, CA.
However, it should be noted that this is a rapidly
changing situation and
the airline is closely monitoring demand as well as changes in
state and local curfews and government restrictions across the
U.S. and will adjust its schedule accordingly throughout the
month.
For United's reduced domestic schedule please
