Vietnam Airlines Adds Wide-Body Aircraft to
Hanoi - Saigon Route
|
Vietnam Airlines has increased capacity between Hanoi
and Saigon by operating wide-body aircraft - Airbus A350, Boeing
787-9 and Boeing 787-10 - between the two cities every two hours.
Currently, the
Vietnam Airlines Group, which includes Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar
Pacific, operates nearly 40 flights per day between Hanoi and Ho
Chi Minh (Saigon) with a frequency of one flight every thirty
minutes to one hour, from 05:00 to 22:30.
Vietnam Airlines’ wide-body aircraft can accommodate an average
of 300 passengers per flight.
The planes are equipped with
engine systems that reduce noise by fifty percent compared to the
previous generation of aircraft. Other features include personal
entertainment screens, USB charging outlets attached to the seats,
larger luggage compartments and windows, and in Business Class the
seats can be adjusted
into full-flat beds.
The Hanoi – Saigon route is the
busiest air route in the country. Flight time is approximately 2
hours.
