Michael Gaehler Joins Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali as GM

Michael Gaehler has joined the Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali as General Manager.

 Michael has more than 33 years of experience within the high-end hospitality sector, having recently completed a stint as general manager of the Oriental Residences Bangkok.

He previously worked at Regent Hotels & Resorts, managing the groupís hotels and resorts in Montenegro, Taiwan, China and Indonesia.

Michael began his hotel career as a chef in his home town of Zurich, Switzerland after graduating from the Swiss Hotel Management School Belvoirpark, transitioning to broader food and beverage roles at some of Europeís leading boutique hotels such as Villa il Tessoro in Tuscany, Hotel Le Vieux Manoir in Murten and Hotel Giardino in Ascona.

He then moved to Asia and the JIA Causeway Bay in Hong Kong and GMHís The Chedi Chiang Mai, later assisting with the launch of GMHís Ananti Kumgang Mountain in North Korea, the countryís first five-star resort.
