Korean Air Joins Airbus' Wing of Tomorrow Program

Korean Air has signed a Cooperation and Research Agreement with Airbus to partake in the Wing of Tomorrow Program.

The Airbus Wing of Tomorrow program is a major international research and development activity aimed at creating new structural and systems architectures for carbon wings in order to improve aerodynamics and overall eco-efficiency of Airbus aircraft.

Since 2009, Korean Air Aerospace Division has supplied over 2,800 wingtip structures to Airbus for A320 aircraft, and in 2016, Korean Air Aerospace Division was selected as the supplier for A330neo wingtips.

Korean Air Aerospace Division will now collaborate with Airbus on the development of innovative composite structures for installation on the Wing of Tomorrow demonstrator.
