Korean Air Adds 50th Anniversary Emblem to 10
Aircraft
|
Korean Air is adding a special emblem and slogan to
ten of its aircraft to celebrate its 50th
anniversary this year.
The special aircraft livery
will depict the number 50 with a plane flying over it alongside
the slogan “Beyond 50 Years of Excellence”.
The number 50
features a stylized taegeuk design. Taegeuk is the iconic mark of the Korean Flag.
Employees of the Seoul-based airline took part in the design and selection
process of the emblem and slogan.
Korean Air will
operate a total of ten aircraft with the special livery, two of
each of the following aircraft types: A380-800, B787-9, B777-300ER
and A220-300, as well as a B737-8 MAX later this year.
Korean Air’s B777-300ER from Incheon to San Francisco was
the first plane with the special livery to take to the sky on
14 February. The other 50th anniversary-themed aircraft will be
added to various global networks of Korean Air, as well as
domestic routes, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Korean Air
on 1 March.
The emblem and slogan will be on the side of the ten
planes until the end of 2019.
