Outstanding Views of Bangkok from Shama Lakeview Asoke - Interview with Sukamal Mondal, GM

Located just a short walk from the Asoke Skytrain and Sukhumvit MTR stations, the Lakeview rooms at the Shama offer such stunning and memorable views of this colourful city that they will stay with you for a long time after you have returned home.

Plus, as all the rooms in the property are designed as serviced apartments or studios, they all feature a very high quality mattress and pillows, a washing machine, small kitchenette and a large refrigerator with separate freezer compartment making them perfect for those with families, those who like to travel light, or for those travellers who simply appreciate the more comprehensive facilities and more homely feel than what most hotels offer.

With this in mind, Steven Howard of TravelNewsAsia.com sat down with Sukamal Mondal, General Manager of the Shama Lakeview Asoke, to ask him more about the property.

In this interview, filmed in the hotel's lobby on 14 June 2019, Khun Sukamal tells us what makes Soi 16 an attractive place to stay, what there is to do in the neighbourhood, whether there is any street food available, how their electronic vehicle shuttle service operates, and how the new electronic Scoota service has been received by guests and which nationalities are using them the most.

You will also learn how the room types in the two different wings differ, which markets the Shama Lakeview Asoke has attracted in its first 18 months of operations, and where the property will focus its sales efforts for the rest of this year and next.
