        	  Qatar Airways has launched flights between 
			  Penang and Langkawi, 
			  Malaysia. 
			  The service has commenced with four flights per 
			  week, increasing to five from 27 October 2019. 
			  The short 40-minute flights between the 
			  two popular tourist destinations will be operated with Boeing 787 
			  Dreamliner aircraft, featuring 22 seats in Business class and 232 
			  seats in Economy class.

			  Akbar Al Baker, said, “Langkawi marks the eighth new destination added to Qatar Airways’ 
			  rapidly expanding network in 2019. With its forested hills, 
			  stunning white-sand beaches and glimmering turquoise waters, 
			  Langkawi is fast becoming one of South East Asia’s most highly 
			  sought-after destinations and the reason why we knew we had to 
			  launch our flights here. We look forward to welcoming business and leisure travellers alike 
			  on board so that they may experience the ‘Jewel of Kedah’.” 
			  	
			   
			  The flight schedule, operating on Tuesdays, 
			  Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays until 27 October 2019, is as 
			  follows: 
			  Flight QR 866 departs Doha (DOH) at 02:25 and arrives 
			  in Penang (PEN) at 15:00. The departure from Penang (PEN) to Langkawi (LGK) 
			  is scheduled for 16:25 with arrival at 17:05. 
			  QR 867 is scheduled to depart from Langkawi at 19:00 
			  and arrive in Penang at 19:40. The flight then leaves Penang at 21:00 
			  and arrives in Doha at 23:45. 
			  From 27 October 
			  2019, the service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and 
			  Sundays as follows: 
			  Flight QR 866 departs Doha (DOH) at 02:10 and arrives 
			  in Penang (PEN) at 14:20. The departure from Penang (PEN) to Langkawi (LGK) 
			  is scheduled for 15:30 with arrival at 16:20. 
			  QR 867 is scheduled to depart from Langkawi at 18:40 
			  and arrive in Penang at 19:40. The flight then leaves Penang at 20:35 
			  and arrives in Doha at 23:25. 
			  Chief Operating Officer of Malaysia Airports, Dato’ Mohd Shukrie 
			  Mohd Salleh, said, “I would like to welcome Qatar Airways to Langkawi International Airport, the first middle eastern airline 
			  to fly to this beautiful island. The inclusion of a new 
			  international airline to Langkawi will definitely spur our Visit 
			  Malaysia 2020 campaign by increasing the number of tourists into
