“We are thrilled to be recognised as the Best Bar in Korea by Asia’s 50 Best Bars, the most anticipated ranking for bar professionals and cocktail aficionados across Asia,” said Keith Motsi. With a nod to the prohibition-era speakeasies of New York, Charles H. at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul was designed by AvroKo, and opened its doors in October 2015. The décor of the bar is inspired by the intricate subterranean spaces of 1920s and 1930s New York, and incorporates palette and details inspired by the Korean traditional royal dress and modern Korean metalwork to create a sense of exoticism, glamour and romance previously unseen in Seoul’s speakeasy scene.

The bar is accessed through a secret and nondescript doorway and offers a selection of cocktails inspired by the travel and writings of Charles H. Baker.
