Brisbane Marriott Hotel Completes
Multi-Million Dollar Renovation
|
The Brisbane Marriott Hotel has completed an A$20 million
renovation.
The extensive
redesign transformed the hotel’s 267 guest rooms and suites,
Executive Lounge, two floors of event space and its signature
restaurant.
The hotel employed the expertise of Malaysian-based company Duoz
Design to ensure the hotel embodied its Brisbane heritage in a
modernized design.
“From the ambient lighting used throughout the hotel, reminiscent
of a balmy Brisbane evening, to the color palette in the hotel
rooms, every element was inspired by the Brisbane region,”
said Brisbane Marriott Hotel General Manager, John Douglas. “We
are proud to welcome guests to experience the reintroduction of
this special hotel, made even more memorable as the hotel
celebrates its 21st birthday.”
As part of the refurbishment, guestrooms have
been fitted with the Assa Abloy Orion system, a technical
inclusion that controls the lighting and air conditioning in each
of the hotel’s rooms. The addition
of this advanced technology enables front desk staff to adjust the
in-room lighting and air conditioning upon guest
check-in to ensure a welcoming first impression.
The hotel also now has 12 flexible event spaces
divided across two floor, an outdoor pool and a 24-hour gym with sweeping views of the
Brisbane River and the Dome Spa Retreat.
