below] Jake Needham, a successful American lawyer and
screenwriter, is today one of the most popular writers of
thrilling fiction novels in Southeast
Asia.
In the past eighteen years, Jake has published ten popular
crime and spy thrillers which are set in
three of the region's most exciting and colourful countries - Hong Kong,
Singapore and Thailand.
More than half a
million copies of the English-language editions of his books have
been sold around the world, mainly in Europe and Asia. Some of his
titles have also been translated into foreign languages and film
rights acquired by film and television companies.
Jake has lived and worked in the US, Sydney,
Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand. He is married to Pintuporn
Sawamiphakdi, a graduate of Oxford University in England and the former
Editor of Thailand Tatler magazine as well as a columnist with the
Bangkok Post. They have two sons, and today spend most of their
time between Thailand and the United States.
