Air Astana Installs Wi-Fi on Boeing 767 Fleet
|
Air Astana has completed the installation of an
in-flight broadband communication system across its Boeing 767
fleet.
The new service is available to both
Business and Economy Class passengers.
Users can use the Wi-Fi in a similar way as they
would on the ground. It allows them to connect to
the internet, use various applications for instant messaging,
social media, listen to audio and check mail through personal
computers, tablets and smartphones.
Passengers can choose from three
connectivity packages. The Light option covers 15 MB and costs
US$5, the Regular option
covers 50 MB for US$15, and the Super option costs US$25 and
includes 100 MB of usage.
All
services are estimated to operate at an average speed of between 2
and 5
Mbps.
Air Astana operates the Boeing 767 on domestic trunk
routes and high-density, long-haul routes out of Almaty and
Astana.
