Ramada by Wyndham Debuts in Brisbane, Australia

Wyndham has expanded its portfolio in Australia with the introduction of the Ramada by Wyndham brand in Brisbane.

The 61-room Ramada by Wyndham Brisbane Windsor, previously known as the Brisbane International Windsor Hotel, has rebranded after a light refurbishment.

The hotel is nestled in the city’s inner northern suburbs, just five minutes from downtown Brisbane and close to an array of local attractions, including the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds, The Royal International Convention Centre, and The Gabba. It is also a convenient 15-minute drive from Brisbane Airport.

“As the largest city in Queensland and a key economic and tourism centre for the whole of Australia, Brisbane is an impactful new destination for the Ramada brand, which has enjoyed strong traction in this country,” said Joon Aun OOI, President and Managing Director, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, South East Asia and Pacific Rim. “Brisbane welcomed almost 1.3 million overseas visitors in 2017 and the city’s airport is now directly connected to 29 international destinations. China is now the largest visitor source market for the city and the Ramada brand will help to boost the hotel’s profile among international guests.”

Ramada by Wyndham Brisbane Windsor features two conference rooms and a boardroom, a restaurant specialising in authentic Italian cuisine, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness room, and complimentary on-site parking.

Brent Christofferson, Hotel General Manager, said, “As one of the most famous names in the hotel industry, Ramada is the perfect fit for our hotel, allowing guests to enjoy world-class accommodation and amenities in a prime location on the doorstep of the city’s leading corporate sites, sporting arenas, and tourism attractions. By harnessing the global power of Wyndham and the Ramada brand, we’re in a position to become one of the leading midscale hotels in the city.”

Ramada Brisbane Windsor is Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ second property in Brisbane, joining the existing TRYP by Wyndham Fortitude Valley Hotel Brisbane.
