Stéphane Soret has returned to the Raffles Hotel
Director of Wine and Special F&B Projects.
Stéphane has over 25 years of
experience in the global luxury hospitality industry, including 6
years in Raffles Hotel Singapore as its Wine Director, from 2009
Stéphane’s journey as a hotelier has seen him
hold positions as Head Sommelier at some of the top hotels
and restaurants in India, Dubai, London, Paris and more. Most
recently, Stéphane was Executive Director of Beverage for MGM
Macau and MGM Cotai, where he spearheaded the conceptualisation
and development of the beverage programme and directed its
operations as part of the pre-opening team amidst the competitive
As the first-ever Wine Director of
Raffles Hotel Singapore in 2009, Stéphane developed and managed
the wine programme for the hotel. Some of his key accomplishments
include Raffles Grill being awarded the Wine Spectator’s Best of
Award of Excellence for five consecutive years from 2010 to 2014,
as well as the successful design and launch of a private wine
label for nine Raffles Hotel properties in 2012.
Stéphane has been an official judge on Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhone &
Asian Wine Panel for Decanter UK and China since 2008. He has also
attained the Commandeur d'Honneur de la Commanderie du Bontemps
and the Officier de l'Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne in the Hong
Kong chapter in 2014 and 2015.
