AccorHotels Appoints Veronique Augier Nel as Director of Communications & CSR Asia Pacific

AccorHotels has appointed Veronique Augier Nel as Director of Communications & CSR Asia Pacific.

Veronique has been with AccorHotels Asia Pacific for seven years, overseeing communications for the groups Talent & Culture team.

A graduate of the Lausanne Hotel Management School in Switzerland, she has previously worked with Starwood, Hyatt Hotels and Walt Disney World.

"I am very excited to move to this new role and am passionate about taking the groups CSR initiatives to the next level. I look forward to working with the regions media professionals at a time when AccorHotels is undergoing an exciting transformation into a full-service hospitality player," Veronique said.

In her new role, Veronique will manage the communications and corporate social responsibility functions for AccorHotels 980+ hotels and resorts across Asia Pacific, working closely with the existing regional team headed by Gaynor Reid, Vice President Communications & CSR.

Veronique will help to deliver strategic communications plans and media liaison while also overseeing the groups commitment to the environment and local communities through its Planet 21 program.

Born in Africa to French and Indonesian parents, Veronique has lived in Africa, Seychelles, Indonesia, Switzerland, France and the USA, although she grew up mostly in Singapore. She is fluent in English, French and Bahasa Indonesian.
