Saudi Arabian Airlines Appoints APG as GSA in
Australia
|
Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia), the flag
carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has appointed APG
as general sales
agent (GSA) in Australia.
APG
Australia will promote Saudia’s network from Australia with new
fares and enhanced service to Saudia Arabia and beyond.
Saudi Arabian Airlines Vice
President Network Sales, Richard Nuttall, said, “Saudia is in the
middle of a major international expansion program as a part of its
Transformation 2020 initiative. International passenger growth
from outside Saudi Arabia grew 30% in 2017 and we are looking to
maintain this growth. We have made major
product investments and our widebody fleet now has an average age of
three years. Last year Saudia was named ‘World’s Most Improved
Airline 2017’ by Skytrax. Saudia is also a member of the Skyteam
Alliance. We believe this is a great time to expand our presence
in Australia, and we are very pleased to have APG as our partner.”
Saudi Arabian Airlines carried 32 million passengers in 2017 and is set
to grow its fleet to over 200 aircraft by the end of 2020. The
airline
currently flies to 90 destinations across four continents with a
fleet of 147 narrow and widebody aircraft.
