Air Belgium, a new airline, has unveiled plans
to launch direct flights between Brussels South Airport and Hong
Kong.
The official launch of the airline will be in
March in Hong Kong, after all the required operating licenses have
been finalised.
Air Belgium says it is also committed to
adding Mainland China destinations later this year.
The airline will operate flights with Airbus
A340-300 aircraft.
Air Belgium will have a starting capital of 20
million euros, divided among Belgian and European majority
shareholders and Asian minority shareholders. Its headquarters are
located in Mont-Saint-Guibert (Walloon Brabant).
