China Airlines Signs Airbus MRO Alliance
Agreement
|
China Airlines has signed the Airbus MRO
Alliance (AMA) agreement, becoming the first initial member to
sign the contract with Airbus.
On 21 December 2016, China Airlines and Airbus
signed a Memorandum of Understanding for engineering and
maintenance field cooperation. The goal is to comprehensively
upgrade China Airlines engineering, maintenance and technology
capabilities through Airbus support, and to join Airbus'
maintenance and training network to increase sales of related
services.
To enhance and strengthen its after-sales
service, Airbus formed an Airbus MRO Alliance in June 2017
and invited China Airlines to join as one of six initial members.
Airbus intends to complete the signing of
the basic contract with each member by the end of June 2018, and
China Airlines has also become the first of the six initial AMA
members to sign the contract. The 6 initial members of AMA include: AAR, Aeroman,
Sabena Technics, Etihad Airways Engineering, China Airlines and
GAMECO.
