Hotels in London Report July 2018 Increase in
ADR and RevPAR
According to STRís preliminary data for July
2018, hotels in London, England enjoyed record-breaking
year-on-year ADR and RevPAR during the month.
Based on daily data from July, supply in the
city was up
2.0% with demand growing by 6.1%. July 2018 occupancy rates at
hotels in London rose 4.0% to 91.2%, while ADR was up 4.7% to
GBP171.25 and RevPAR jumped 9.0% to GBP156.15.
Both the ADR and RevPAR levels were the highest
for any month in STRís London database. Performance for July 2018
even topped the levels achieved in July 2012, when the market
hosted the opening days of the Summer Olympics.
Following a record-breaking H1 2017,
hotels in London have since seen a slowdown in
performance, mainly due to strong ongoing supply growth. This July
performance followed a 1.5% increase in RevPAR in June 2018,
indicating a summer upswing.
