Jason Chen Returns to Ascott as GM of
Somerset Ekamai Bangkok
|
Ascott has appointed Mr. Jason Chen as General
Manager of Somerset Ekamai Bangkok.
With over 20 years of
hospitality industry experience, Mr. Chen first worked with
Ascott in Singapore in
2004 before assignments in Beijing, Bangkok and Hanoi as the
Residence Manager of the Somerset West Lake property.
In
2008, he returned to Bangkok as the Residence Manager of the
flagship Ascott Sathorn Bangkok property for six years, before
joining Leading Quality Assurance as one of their quality
assurance consultants.
Mr. Chen
said, “Hospitality in Thailand has evolved and developed from when
I first arrived in 2007. We have been through many challenges over
the years and it is now an invigorating time to be in Bangkok as
one can contribute to continuing the promotion of Thailand as a
favorable destination for both business and leisure clientele. At
the same time, it allows us opportunities as operators to work
together with our community to provide an environment of
continuity and support so that we pay forward in the overall
development and growth of our surrounds.”
Ascott is the currently the largest
international serviced residence owner-operator in Thailand, with
21 properties and more than 4,500 units (including those under
development) across Bangkok, Pattaya and Sri Racha, all nestled in
prime business, entertainment districts, and designed for
discerning expatriates and travelers on business or leisure.
