Ascott Appoints Brian Tan as Country General Manager - Thailand

Ascott has appointed Mr. Brian Tan as Country General Manager for Thailand.

Brian will be responsible for overseeing the operations of Ascott’s 11 operating properties in Thailand with 7 more under development, and drive the growth of the company’s serviced residence business in the Kingdom.

Brian has over 22 years of professional working experience. Prior to his move to Ascott, he was General Manager, Regional Operations at Frasers Hospitality, where he was global head of security & crisis management and oversaw a cluster of properties in southern China. He also completed General Manager assignments in Wuhan, Suzhou and Shanghai.

Earlier in his hospitality career, Brian held progressive positions with Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, including Director of Quality in Singapore and Director of Operations in China.

In 2014, he was named Hotel Manager of the Year in the inaugural edition of The China Hotelier Awards, which featured senior nominations from some of the most renowned brands in the global hotel industry.

Brian was a Singapore Tourism Board postgraduate scholarship recipient and holds a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from the National University of Singapore.

Ascott is the currently the largest international serviced residence owner-operator in Thailand, with 18 properties and more than 3,100 units (including those under development) across Bangkok, Pattaya and Sri Racha.
