Sabre Expands Services to Papua New Guinea

Sabre has signed an agreement with Air Niugini to distribute the Sabre global distribution system (GDS) in Papua New Guinea.

With this agreement, travel agents will adopt Sabre Red Workspace, Sabre’s point-of-sale solution which delivers a content-rich marketplace integrated with data-driven support tools.

Other solutions that Sabre will be bringing to the market include TripCase, an itinerary management tool that gives travellers the freedom to manage and stay connected with their latest trip details and to create new bookings, as well as Clipboard, a tool that helps travel agents quickly translate information from Sabre Red Workspace and configure information to meet their needs.

We are also constantly working on providing more content to agents within the Sabre travel marketplace. With Air Niugini as our latest distribution partner, we are confident in extending our reach and helping to grow Papua New Guinea’s travel industry through our integrated network,” said Todd Arthur, vice president, Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific. “As focus on enhanced technologies, revenue and customer experience continues to grow, travel professionals will seek technology partners that are able to support their strategic direction and provide the latest tools to deliver on their objectives.”

Air Niugini is the national carrier of Papua New Guinea, offering a range of domestic flights and international flights throughout Asia, Oceania and Australia. Air Niugini tickets are now available via Sabre.
