ATR Attending UN Climate Change Conference COP22 in Marrakech

ATR is attending the high-profile UN Climate Change Conference COP22 taking place in Marrakech, Morocco.

Together with other airframe and engine manufacturers, airlines, fuel suppliers, airports, and governments, ATR is working toward collective industry goals which include 1.5% average annual fuel efficiency improvement through 2020, carbon neutral growth from 2020, and a 50% reduction in CO2 by 2050 relative to 2005 baseline levels.

ATR Senior Vice President Commercial and Customer Support Tom Anderson took the floor on Tuesday to present ATR’s key environmental priorities at the COP22 aviation side event.

“ATR is fully committed to responsible travel. Each year 300 million passengers travel on regional aircraft that serve around 3,500 airports across the world. We strive every day to promote solutions that facilitate the development of regional connectivity in a sustainable way,” Mr. Anderson said.
