CEO of Travelodge Thailand Outlines Expansion Plans in HD Video Interview

[HD video below] Travelodge is about to embark on a major expansion within the Asia Pacific region.

The hotel company, which is already well established in other parts of the world, has some big plans targeting roughly 30,000 rooms in Asia Pacific by end 2020, of which 4,000 rooms are expected to be in Thailand.

On 4 August 2016, Steven Howard of Travel News Asia sat down with Jonathan Wigley, CEO of Travelodge Thailand to ask him about the brand.

In this HD video Jonathan tells us what makes Travelodge unique, where in Thailand they plan to open hotels, whether they will be just managed or whether the company will buy them to manage.

We discuss the potential cities for Travelodge hotels in Thailand, whether the focus will be on prime tourist destinations or more secondary and tertiary destinations within the Kingdom.

Jonathan also tells us about his thoughts on Whitbread's recent surprise announcement that it was withdrawing Premier Inn from the South East Asia region, including India, and what that might mean to their major competitor - Travelodge. All this and much, much more in the video interview.
