Electric Bikes Available to Rent at Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort

Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort has started renting electric bikes to guests.

The resort has entered into a partnership with Electro-bike Discovery, a provider of electrically assisted bicycles.

An electric bicycle has a motor which provides a boost when needed. At full speed the bike can go 25km per hour.

“Anyone can use electro bikes - adults, children, elderly cyclists, sedentary persons, people with reduced mobility and those with limited physical ability,” said Amelie Marrier d’Unienville, Director of Electro-bike Discovery. “It is the perfect choice for people who do not have the same physical strength as their cycling partner, those who have not exercised for a long time, or people having physical limitations or health issues.”

At the Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort, electro bikes are available for 600MUR (US$16.5/€15) per hour.
