U Tropicana Alibaug Resort Appoints Chef In Charge

Hemant Dharmnath Mungekar has been appointed as the Chef In Charge of the U Tropicana Alibaug resort in India.

Having served in various hospitality positions, Chef Hemant is a seasoned culinary professional with over 17 years of culinary experience.

He is in charge of overseeing all the culinary aspects of the kitchens, menus, training modules and most importantly fortifying the standards of excellence expected by both domestic and international guests.

A graduate from Rizvi College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Mumbai, he began his culinary career at Holiday Inn - Juhu, Mumbai as Department Chef in Charge.

Prior to joining U Tropicana Alibaug, he was associated with GVK Lounge at International Airport Mumbai as Sous Chef.

He has worked with premium hospitality brands like ITC - Grand Maratha Sheraton, Ramee Hotel and Holiday Inn.

During his tenure at P&O Cruise Lines he also got an opportunity to work with multiple Michelin Star Chef Marco Pierre White.
