Think Big Digital Appoints CEO

Think Big Digital has appointed Dato’ Eddy Leong as Chief Executive Officer.

Think Big Digital is a joint venture between AirAsia, AIMIA and Tune Money that manages AirAsia BIG, the global loyalty programme for AirAsia and the Tune Group.

On the appointment, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, Chairman and Director of Think Big Digital said, “With a career that spans across both airline and hospitality, we believe that Eddy’s expertise is exactly what we need to catapult the AirAsia BIG Loyalty Programme into its next stage of expansion. We are excited to have him on board to further enhance the value proposition for our members and partners alike.”

After starting his career with Arthur Andersen & Co, Leong spent several years in leadership positions in the aviation and hospitality industry with companies such as Berjaya Group of Companies, Destination Resorts and Hotels and Malaysia Airlines. He was responsible for the setup, development and operation of Firefly Airline from its commencement in 2007 until 2011 and most recently acted as Advisor to Philippines AirAsia. Leong is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Leong said, “As the loyalty programme for the fastest growing airline group in the region with over 14.5 million members from 150 countries worldwide, our priority is to ensure that we provide AirAsia BIG members and partners with a loyalty proposition that is truly rewarding. I am excited to join the team as we continue to focus on member acquisition, expanding our partnership base to provide more outlets for our members to earn points from, and further enhancing the airline value proposition.”
