Starwood Signs Four Points Hotel in Sydney, Australia

Starwood has signed an agreement with JL Parramatta, a Sydney-based developer, to open a Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Sydney, Australia.

The 271-room Four Points by Sheraton Parramatta, scheduled to open in 2018, will be located within Parramatta’s Central Business District (CBD), at 89 George Street.

The hotel will be just a short walk from Parramatta Station, the Parramatta River and Westfield Parramatta, the second largest shopping complex in Australia. Other nearby attractions include the Riverside Theatre, Parramatta Stadium and Rosehill Gardens.

Four Points by Sheraton Parramatta will feature a bar and lobby lounge with snack kiosk, meeting facilities, a restaurant, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness centre, and parking facilities.

“Parramatta has become a focal point of economic growth in Sydney, with significant investment in a range of building and construction opportunities and hotel occupancy levels reaching a new high” said Andrew Taylor, Director, Acquisitions and Development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Pacific. “There is clear demand for a new high quality international hotel with accommodation and facilities to support the growth of Western Sydney, and Four Points by Sheraton Parramatta will deliver this with its approachable design and stylish comfort brand positioning.”
