AIME Enhances Hosted Buyer Program

Organisers of the Asia Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) 2017 have commenced a global search to bring more event planners to Melbourne so that they can meet with hundreds of exhibitors and network with thousands of people at one of the largest gatherings of business event professionals in the region.

For the 25th anniversary enhancements have been made to the hosted buyer program, simplifying the process from application through to the onsite experience.

The appointment system now features upgraded matchmaking software optimising relevant appointments that are scheduled with exhibitors, based upon pre-established buyer preferences and availability.

AIME has also partnered with BI Worldwide, an event management company, to deliver a seamless process for hosted buyers, from initial travel consultation and flight bookings, through to onsite transport and logistics.

Qualified hosted buyers will experience education programs, peer-to-peer networking sessions, the opportunity to book appointments with event suppliers from across the globe and unique Melbourne City experiences, supported by complimentary travel and accommodation.

“Our objective for AIME 2017 is to increase the number of quality hosted buyers in attendance. To achieve this we have implemented numerous enhancements to our communication tools, application process, qualification strategy and onsite program; making the hosted buyer offering for 2017 the strongest it’s ever been,” said Ian Wainwright, Event Director – AIME, Reed Travel Exhibitions. “We have teams on the ground in London, New York, Mexico, Abu Dhabi, Sydney and Beijing, who are actively seeking event organisers to be part of the AIME hosted buyer program ... I encourage all those who organise events to apply to be part of this valuable program.”

The hosted buyer online application opened today (29 September 2016). All those who organise, influence or make budgetary decisions for meetings, incentive travel, business travel, events, product launches, staff training or international conventions can apply to be part of the AIME Hosted Buyer Program.

AIME will take place 21 – 22 February 2017 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre in Australia.
