AirAsia to Launch Bangkok - Vientiane Flights

AirAsia has confirmed that it will launch daily flights between Bangkok and Vientiane, Laos on 1 July 2016.

The Bangkok-Vientiane route is the second Thai-Laos connection following the Bangkok-Luang Prabang route which launched on 24 March 2016.

To celebrate the Vientiane launch, a promotional fare starting from THB 990 per way is available until 8 May 2016 for travel between 1 July 2016 and 22 May 2017.

Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, Director of Commercial for Thai AirAsia, said, “AirAsia becoming the first low cost airline to connect Thailand and Lao PDR means easier and more convenient travel for all. We have seen our customer base in the segment expand rapidly, both among tourists and entrepreneurs. With Vientiane being the financial center of Lao PDR and a key destination for trade, we are sure many Thai businesses will see the easier, more cost effective travel to the city as a boon. At the same time, we hope to attract many Laotian travelers to Thailand by offering them a direct route to the Kingdom.”
