Langham Signs Three Hotels in U.S.

Langham has signed three hotels in the continental United States – Langham Place, Wade Park in Frisco, Texas; Langham Place, San Francisco; The Langham, Bishop’s Lodge Santa Fe in New Mexico.

“We have chosen three exciting destinations in the U.S. in which to expand the Langham Hotels and Resorts portfolio," said Robert Warman, chief executive officer of Langham Hospitality Group. “Thanks to our successful hotels in the U.S., as well as our celebrated locations in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Shanghai, our brand awareness among luxury travelers has never been stronger. With these three new additions, we will continue to offer our guests a diversity of experiences in North America.”

Langham Place, Wade Park, located in Frisco, Texas, will open in early 2018 as part of the Wade Park development, a $1.6 billion, 175-acre project created by Thomas Land & Development.

The hotel will be designed by 5G Studio Collaborative in Dallas. There will be 35 floors in the hotel, including 25 hotel floors and 10 floors of residences; 250 guest rooms, including several one and two-bedroom suites and two 2,906 square-foot Presidential Suites; and more than 25,000 square-feet of meeting and convention space, including boutique meeting rooms to accommodate surrounding businesses like those in the two surrounding office towers.

Guests will be able to take advantage of a rooftop pool deck, full-service bar, and courtyard, which will be available for outdoor events, and an adjoining walkway bridge to the office tower and iPic Theaters located at Wade Park; and a full-service Chuan Body + Soul spa, featuring a signature menu of body and facial treatments based on Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Langham Place, San Francisco will be part of the new Transbay Transit Center Project in downtown San Francisco, which promises to become the “Grand Central Station of the West” when it is completed later this year.

It’s a US$4.5 billion project located at the intersection of First and Mission Streets, encompassing 11 separate local and regional transit systems. Langham Hotels and Resorts will bring a full-service luxury hotel to the development as of 2019.

The Langham, Bishop’s Lodge, Santa Fe, formerly Bishop’s Lodge, owned by an affiliate of HRV Hotel Partners, will re-open in spring 2018 after a multi-million dollar renovation.

Located in the foothills of New Mexico’s Sangre de Cristo range of the Rocky Mountains, four miles from the Santa Fe Plaza, this historic resort was first opened to the public in the 1920s but traces its history back to the 1870s when it was first settled by Bishop Jean Baptiste Lamy.

It will be Langham Hotels and Resorts’ first resort in the United States, boasting 317 acres, including private stables and trails for horseback riding.

The renovation will include the demolition and re-modeling of the existing rooms and public areas at the property, as well as new construction to expand the hotel to 139 rooms and suites.
