Executive Appointments at Pan Pacific Hotels Group

Pan Pacific Hotels Group has appointed Greg Allan as Group Vice President, Operations (ASEAN) and Gino Tan as Area General Manager (Singapore).

A British national, Greg is a seasoned hotelier with more than 30 years of experience. He was most recently based in the United Arab Emirates as Area Vice President of Rotana Hotel Management, where he was responsible for the operational and financial performance of 14 hotels.

Greg had a rewarding 20-year career with Marriott International, having started out as a Food & Beverage Manager in the United Kingdom and earning increasingly senior roles towards his first General Manager role at JW Marriott Jakarta & Marriott Executive Apartments in 2005.

No stranger to Singapore, Greg was General Manager of Marriott Hotel Singapore in 2007. He moved on to a larger role as the Area Director of Operations for Marriott Southeast Asia, overseeing 26 properties in the region, before returning to Singapore to work for Resorts World Sentosa as its Vice President, Rooms and Food & Beverage, where he led a team of 3,500 employees to manage more than 1,500 rooms and 40 F&B outlets.

In his role as Vice President, Operations (ASEAN), Greg will oversee nine Pan Pacific and Parkroyal hotels, resorts and serviced suites under the group in five ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Vietnam). Gregs role will grow in tandem with the groups rapid expansion in the region, where several brand-defining hotels, such as Pan Pacific Hanoi and Pan Pacific Yangon, will open in the next 12 months.

Gino Tan

A Singaporean, Gino is a passionate hotelier with over 23 years of experience, having managed luxury hotels in Singapore, London and China.

Gino has been General Manager of the iconic Pan Pacific Singapore since 2015 after a successful stint at the multiple award-winning Parkroyal on Pickering in 2014.

In addition to assuming his new role of Area General Manager (Singapore), Gino will concurrently be General Manager of Pan Pacific Singapore.

Prior to joining Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Gino was the General Manager of Millennium Hotel London Mayfair in the UK and General Manager of Grand Millennium Beijing and New World Hotel in Dalian, China.

Gino has built a strong foundation in Sales & Marketing in the hospitality sector, having spent 15 years in senior roles with Omni Marco Polo Hotel and Raffles Hotels & Resorts in Singapore and Beijing.

In the new role of Area General Manager (Singapore), Gino will oversee five hotels under the Pan Pacific and Parkroyal brands in Singapore, which is the groups headquarters and largest operating market.

We warmly welcome Greg to our team and congratulate Gino on his well-deserved promotion. Given our focus on ASEAN as a strategic development region, it is critical to have strong operational leadership to drive the continued growth and performance of our properties in these markets. Greg and Gino are integral additions to the leadership team with stellar track records for achieving sustainable results through robust operations. As industry veterans, they bring on board an accumulated wealth of operational experience, business acumen, and an ability to forge strong relationships with customers, owners and business partners, said Bernold O. Schroeder, Chief Executive Officer, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
