Scott Hendryx Joins STR as Chief Information Officer

STR has appointed Scott Hendryx as Chief Information Officer.

Hendryx has worked for the past five years as senior director of computer information systems and change management for enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation at Calsonic Kansei. Based in Shelbyville, Tennessee, Hendryx directed a 46-person CIS team that supported IT functions across 12 sites in the U.S., Mexico and Brazil.

“Scott’s experience complements our needs as a global company that reports on more than 7.1 million hotel rooms in 175 countries around the world,” said Amanda Hite, STR’s president and COO. “The foundation of our business is built on providing an IT experience that emphasizes security, confidentiality and the transfer of large amounts of data. Scott will be instrumental in building upon the integrity we’ve established during the past 30 years as STR continues to expand its reach throughout the 21st century.”

Prior to his tenure at Calsonic Kansei, Hendryx worked at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Illinois, as a 6 sigma black belt (June 2009-August 2010) then as administrative director of surgical and cardiovascular services (August 2010-January 2011).

Hendryx’s resume also includes more than 30 years at Caterpillar/Cat Financial with various roles in 6 sigma and global project management/deployment.

Hendryx has led successful implementation of ERP in Europe, Brazil, the Middle East, Mexico and the U.S., and he is a 6 sigma master black belt with certification in DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) and DMEDI (Define, Measure, Explore, Develop, and Implement) methodology.

“During my interview process, I was inspired by the energy of the team members and their pride in STR’s culture,” Hendryx said. “It also was clear that we’re embracing IT’s role as a business partner as we look for new and creative ways to deliver more information faster and easier. As the world continues accelerating, we must keep improving our ability to deliver secure data solutions that shape the future of industries, providing the right data, to the right people, at the right time, all the time.”
