CityHub Amsterdam Installs VingCard Signature RFID Door Locks

CityHub Amsterdam, a new hotel concept which opened in October 2015 catering to guests with a pod-sized themed guestroom environment, has implemented cutting-edge security access solutions from Assa Abloy Hospitality.

VingCard Signature RFID door locks and RFID card readers have been installed which allow guests to quickly access their capsule room, known as Hubs, and enjoy a variety of other convenient features.

As a contactless solution, Signature RFID provides properties with an array of key fob design options, presenting hoteliers with the opportunity to select one that is best suited to address guest needs and enhance operational services.

At CityHub Amsterdam, guests are given the option of wearing an RFID wristband that not only functions as a hassle-free Hub access key, but can serve as a method of payment for drinks and snacks at the hotel's self-service bar.

With the inclusion of RFID card readers, guests wearing the wristbands can also access private guest lockers available at the property.

"As a property that goes to great lengths to ensure that our guests find an environment that is comfortable, convenient and safe, we are extremely impressed with the level of functionality that solutions by Assa Abloy Hospitality can provide," said Pieter Van Tilburg, owner of CityHub. "Being able to offer efficient and quick service via cutting-edge solutions such as RFID wristbands, is highly valued by guests wishing to get the most out of their stay and enjoy our location in Amsterdam's city center. The high level of security provided by Signature RFID further assists us in assuring peace-of-mind to each guest."

Fully compatible with Assa Abloy Mobile Access, Signature RFID also serves as a method for properties considering a later upgrade that allows guests to use their own smart device such as a phone or watch as a room key.
