Dusit has signed an agreement with Hainan Jinxiu Industrial Company Limited to manage a Dusit Devarana Resort in Haikou City, Hainan Province.

Scheduled to open in 2018, the Dusit Devarana Resort, Haikou West is located within a 15-minute drive from the city centre and a 30-minute drive from Haikou Meilan International Airport.

The resort will offer 108 guest rooms and villas.

Mr. Lim Boon Kwee, President of Dusit Fudu Hotels & Resorts, said, “We are pleased to announce this new luxury resort in Haikou, an exciting city in which to begin what will be a strong year for Dusit Fudu. Alongside our partners, I am confident that the Dusit Devarana Resort, Haikou West will deliver an inspiring and rejuvenating getaway for our guests.”

Located within the mega-tourism zone set to become a new lifestyle destination, the resort will feature a Devarana Spa, with its full range of Thai-inspired wellness programmes.

Dining options will include an all-day dining outlet and a Chinese restaurant, as well as a complete range of recreational facilities including a gymnasium, an outdoor swimming pool, kid’s club and boutique store.

Expansive meeting rooms featuring the latest audio-visual facilities will cater to the island’s growing business segment.

Haikou

Situated on the northern coast of Hainan Island, Haikou is the capital and most populous city of Hainan Province.

Government officials are currently at work developing the area into a world-class tourist destination by 2020.

In an effort to lure more visitors to the tropical island, the Chinese government launched a program in 2011 that allows locals and tourists alike to enjoy duty exemptions and tax refunds on imported products before flying to other airports in China.
