In this interview, filmed at Criteo's trendy office in the new and eco-friendly CapitaGreen building in Singapore on 19 October, we discuss the findings of Criteo's latest Travel Flash Report and how the 'Search, Shop, Book' process differs today from a year ago.

The report outlines how smartphones are changing travel-booking habits and what it takes to convert shoppers to bookers.

In the interview, Mr. Beccari tells us how markets in Asia Pacific are evolving when it comes to online hotel and airline bookings, what devices are being used to make those bookings, which devices are becoming more dominant, and how such the process differs between age groups.

We talk about China, emerging markets and whether the company has any plans to open more offices in the region and if so where.

Mr. Beccari gives his thoughts on the battle between hotels and OTAs for bookings, and how different categories of hotels use technology in differently.

We discuss new technology such as beacons, VR, AR and AI and whether it is better to be a pioneer in using new technology or wait until they become more mainstream.
