Hotel Internet Services Appoints Robert Johnson as Vice President of Sales

Hotel Internet Services (HIS), a full-service provider of internet services and solutions for the hotel industry, has appointed Robert "Bob" Johnson as Vice President of Sales.

Based in HIS' Simi Valley, California office, Johnson will be responsible for directing the company's expansion of its North American sales team, and for promoting its Wi-Fi, BeyondTV IPTV VOD Media Streaming Player Systems, and Fusion gateway solutions to the hospitality market.

Over the course of his successful twenty-year career in the software and internet industry, Johnson has demonstrated his ability to effectively create growth through strategic alliances and Value Added Reseller agreements, as well as leading direct sales teams.

Prior to joining HIS, Johnson most recently worked as an executive sales consultant for several technology startups, developing strategic alliances with Fortune 500-1000 companies, such as Apple, IBM, Intel, Dell, Lenovo, Sony and Microsoft.

Gary Patrick, president of Hotel Internet Services, commented on Johnson's appointment, saying, "Bob is a well rounded leader with a focus on strategic business alliances. His dynamic approach to sales has generated proven results that we look forward to duplicating at Hotel Internet Services, as we continue our rapid expansion in the hospitality technology market."

Johnson is credited with building the Internet Services Provider EarthLink from a 15-person start-up to the second largest ISP in the nation with over 5,000 employees. While serving as Executive Vice President there, his focus on guerilla marketing and brand building quickly delivered impressive bottom-line results. Through Johnson' efforts, a small local Internet provider boomed into a billion dollar enterprise.

Johnson's other major accomplishments include building one of the largest VAR Networks in the accounting software industry as Vice President Sales for RealWorld Accounting Software and opening the doors for Diskeeper, a software company, to international PC manufacturers.
