Shangri-La Signs Hotel Jen in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Shangri-La has signed a management agreement with Concorde Arch (M) Sdn. Bhd. for the first Hotel Jen in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Scheduled to open in 2019, Hotel Jen Kuala Lumpur is the second Hotel Jen project under development in Malaysia, following the signing of Hotel Jen Kota Kinabalu in Borneo in September 2015.

Hotel Jen Kuala Lumpur is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur at the intersection of Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan P Ramlee, just 800 metres from the city’s landmark Petronas Twin Towers and 300 metres from the KL Tower.

Greg Dogan, president and CEO of Shangri-La, said, “The announcement of Hotel Jen Kuala Lumpur reinforces our interest and expansion in Malaysia, in the country’s capital city, where we will now increase the group’s presence with our third hotel and newest brand Hotel Jen”.

Lothar Nessmann, chief operations officer of the Hotel Jen brand, added, “The opening of Hotel Jen Kuala Lumpur will strengthen the brand’s footprint in yet another key city in Asia, where the richness and diversity of business, leisure and culture in Malaysia aligns with Hotel Jen’s brand persona of being a ‘lover of life, travel and discovery’.”
