SITA Completes ISO Certification for Information Security at Changi Airport

The operations and management of SITA Airport Solutions Services for Changi Airport Group (CAG) have successfully met ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification requirements, a standard which relates to information security across all of the airport’s IT systems.

Changi Airport is the first airport in Asia Pacific to work with SITA to achieve this global accreditation.

Illya Gutlin, SITA President, Asia Pacific (pictured), said, “Working with Changi Airport Group we have achieved this global accreditation across multiple systems and applications. This includes SITA AirportConnect our common-use platform; baggage and passenger flow management systems and passenger self-service kiosks, bag drop and automated boarding gates.”

SITA provides IT services to Changi Airport, which handled more than 55-million passenger movements in 2015.

Steve Lee, Chief Information Officer/Senior Vice President, Technology, Changi Airport Group, said, “We congratulate SITA on achieving the ISO 27001 certification. CAG values our partner’s commitment to continuously strengthen the information security for Changi Airport’s systems. It will enable us to achieve higher levels of service assurance and passenger satisfaction.”
