Premier Inn Signs First Hotel in Phuket, Thailand

Premier Inn, one of the UK’s largest and fastest-growing hotel operators, has signed its very first hotel in Phuket, Thailand.

Due to open its doors in early 2017, the 350-room Premier Inn Phuket will be located close to several tourist attractions including Patong Beach and Jungceylon shopping centre.

The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, destination bar, swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness centre and meeting facilities.

“Premier Inn Phuket is an important addition to our fast expanding Asia property portfolio and marks a significant milestone for the Premier Inn brand. We are confident that the hotel will set a new benchmark in Phuket’s hospitality sector, becoming the preferred choice for value conscious travellers,” said Mr. Erik van Keulen, Senior Vice President Development, Premier Inn Asia Pacific.

The Premier Inn Phuket signifies the entry of the brand in Phuket where the company plans to open five hotels in partnership with Rayaburi Group Co., Ltd., totalling around 1,250 rooms by 2020.

The property comes after the group’s first hotel in Thailand, the 224-room Premier Inn Bangkok Soi 11 which is scheduled to open by mid-2016.

Premier Inn also has plans to further expand its portfolio to in key city and resort locations including Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Koh Samui and Pattaya.
