Accor Opens Third Mercure Hotel in Vietnam

Accor has expanded its portfolio of hotels in Vietnam with the opening of the Mercure Phu Quoc Resort & Villas, the groups second hotel on the island of Phu Quoc.

The newly refurbished resort, which features 72 villas with private terraces, sits on Truong Beach and is just five minutes from Phu Quoc International Airport and 7 kilometres from the town of Duong Dong.

The 72 villas feature private terraces, LED TVs with satellite channels, coffee and tea making facilities and a minibar. The beach front Executive Pool Villas are built with private swimming pools with underwater lounge chairs, bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs and separate living rooms.

At Mercure Phu Quoc Resort & Villas, guests can explore the island offerings and experience the areas authentic local culture, said Mr. Remi Faubel, the resorts General Manager. Taking advantage of the resorts prime waterfront location, Little restaurant overlooks the ocean and offers both local and international cuisine, while the Blue Bar offers beach views and a variety of cocktails and light snacks served poolside. Located at the hotel lobby is the Dolphin Bar, a perfect place to unwind and chill in the evening over a refreshing drink.

Whether its relax or play, facilities such as the outdoor swimming pool with jacuzzi, 24-hour fitness centre, spa and complimentary kayaking, tennis, soccer and beach volleyball provide plenty of options for leisure activities.

For meetings, conferences, parties or corporate retreats, the hotel boasts a fully equipped function room ideal for private and corporate functions. Its meeting facilities can accommodate up to 80 guests for conferences or cocktail receptions as well as numerous business needs.

With the majority of the island designated as a national park and protected marine habitat, Phu Quoc has become increasingly sought-after for its beautiful beaches and unspoiled natural environment.
